Common AllergensAll recipes may contain Eggs, Milk, Nuts, Peanuts and/or Wheat. Please ensure that we are made aware of any allergens and we will do our best to accommodate.
-
Gluten Free OptionsI offer gluten-free options; however, they are available for customers who require them as a lifestyle choice, not for those with a gluten allergy. Please note that while my kitchen and home are cleaned daily, and all utensils and appliances are sanitized after each use, Southern Gal Creations is not a certified allergen-free kitchen. As such, there is a risk of cross-contact with ingredients containing allergens. Thank you for your understanding.

CopyrightAt Southern Gal Creations, we take great pride in crafting custom cakes and cookies that are uniquely designed for each customer. However, we do not provide services involving copyrighted logos, characters, or trademarks. If you would like cakes or cookies featuring such designs, we recommend securing permission from the copyright holder prior to placing your order. As an alternative, we are happy to offer themed designs tailored to your vision. For example, instead of a direct Spiderman design, we could create web-inspired details along with red/blue brickwork for the background. We are also happy to share additional creative theme ideas to suit your needs. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to working with you to create something special!

Cake/Cookie TerminologyFrosting Type/Coverage Buttercream - Traditional frosting covering cakes Cream Cheese - In order to adhere to the Texas Cottage Laws, we make a mock cream cheese frosting. It is stable, especially dealing with this Texas heat and tastes even better than traditional Cream Cheese Frosting. Fondant - Sugar Paste used to cover cakes or add additional design elements Ganache - Chocolate and Heavy Cream mixture used underneath fondant covered cakes and carved/novelty cakes. Royal Icing - Used in decorating sugar cookies Filling Type By request a specialty filling can be used in between the cake layers. This can include fruit/jam, custard or other fillings. If a filling is not chose, frosting will be used in its place. Carved/Novelty Cakes Carved/Novelty Cakes are structured cakes carved to fit a specific template/design. The sky is the limit with these style of cakes. Layers vs Tiers Layers refers to how many layers of cake are in each tier. Our cakes traditionally have 3 layers of cake. By request a cake can have additional layers of cake. Tiers refers to how many cakes are stacked on top of each other.
